Here is Zoe all pretty and ready to go

Zoe - soon to be called Millie
I was caught by surprise that she was going home a day early and am so mad at myself for not getting a picture of her new family . . but they are wonderful people and I know will be great parents.
Congrats to Kathy & Steve (and their 2 other dogs)!

For fun, here is a picture of Mark holding Zoe
(kind of a substitute for Kathy & Steve)

As you can tell, she was pretty sleepy and did fall asleep shortly after this picture!

Thank you all for following the blog and watching my babies grow and go!
Check back periodically, as I hope to have a few pictures from the new families, and will update on here.
I will also do a post regarding any future litter.

HAPPY 8 WEEK BIRTHDAY PUPPIES :)

BITTERSWEET
"An emotional feeling that is a mixture of both happy and sad"

That pretty much sums it up for me.   As I knew this day would arrive too quickly, I certainly never expected it to be as bittersweet as it is.
I realized this morning I never have had a picture of ME with the puppies !!  So I came downstairs and handed Mark the camera, so here goes

And then the SWEET part . .
seeing a happy puppy with his even happier new family"

Koda (formerly Runtley) with part of his family, Heather & Kallie
And so the day will continue, with 3 more puppies leaving the nest for their new lives with their new families.   More pictures to come later,
Sharon (with tears in her eyes)

Thanksgiving day part 2

We took all the babies outside for the first time and they LOVED it :)

Puppy train - single file to Mom :)

They loved the leaves but especially the little pine cones!

Play time with Mom

Exploring

"Mountain" climbing

Chunky Monkey looking up the "mountain"
We kind of had to cut the trip outside short, since we were in the shade and it was still kind of chilly and I didn't want the babies to get sick!

More later,
Sharon

THANKSGIVING 2011

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !
It is a beautiful day here in Colorado, something I am so thankful for, along with my family and friends that make every day of my life better!
I hope you also have a lot to be thankful for and are able to spend the day with family and/or friends sharing the blessings God has given you.
NOW on to puppy activity.  I am up every morning at 5:10 and down to see the puppies by 5:25, so although they were yelping at 4:00 this morning, then again at 5:30, they did go back to sleep I was able "sleep in" until 6:30 :)
The beer box from last night has become a great source of entertainment (notice it's flat now) and a great bed . .
Blackie
They also had a little time with the cat, Tori !   Neither of them seemed too concerned with the other, so hopefully that's a good sign they will be friends with any critters they go live with.

I missed it of course - but they had just been nose to nose . . then Blackie just walked away!

Here's a video of Dakoda Blaze for Heather,

Thanks to each of you for visiting
Feel free to leave comments or contact me for more details :)

Wednesday - November 23rd

WEIGH IN:

Heather, future Mom of Runtley, requested his height & weight
so we had a weigh in today:
Just FYI:  the scale had not stopped yet - therefore this weight is not accurate!!!

Here is a run down of their weights:
Zoe:  6 lb, 6 ounces
Brownie:  7 lbs, 2 ounces
Runtley:  7 lbs, 3 ounces
Zeke:  7 lbs, 5 ounces
Blackie:  7 lbs, 9 ounces
AND THE BIGGEST (living up to his name):
Chunky Monkey:  7 lbs, 12 ounces

Later, Mark came home with some beer and the puppies thought they needed to help and then decided it was the perfect chew / teething toy

So funny what they find as entertaining !!!

Brownie thought Chunky Monkey made a perfect pillow

Until next time,
Sharon

November 22, 2011

Another fun day with the babies!   Lots of interest in these cuties from the ad I posted.  I am so excited to met the new families and of course a little sad to think of them leaving!

Sleepy time - except for Zeke . . he kept watching me every time I snapped a picture!

Hope you're having a great week,
Sharon
